The Mountain Living Log and Timber Frame Home Show will open it’s doors at the Asheville Civic Center in Asheville, NC, October 12, 13, 14 2007. The Show will feature the latest energy efficient designs and fine craftsmanship that have made log and timber frame homes the fastest growing segment of the custom home market.
Log and timber frame home construction is a part of the heritage of Western North Carolina. The region is home to some of the finest custom craftsmen and builders in the nation. Many of these craftsmen have learned their trade at the feet of generations of artisans. These distinctive wood homes were first brought to the region by European settlers and were the home construction of choice for many years. Many old cabins still standing after centuries attest to their longevity. They were later popular as rustic vacation getaways and today nine out of ten log and timber frame homes are used as primary residences.
At the Mountain Living Log and Timber Frame Home Show you can visit displays of national companies who manufacture log and timber frame homes and products. You will be able to see various log and framing styles. Home maintenance products and services as well as rustic furniture and decorative accessories will also be featured. You can have professionals review your floor plans or shop through a myriad of designer plans and answer all of your log and timber frame home building questions. Exhibitors from all over North America will be displaying various log and timber frame styles including milled and handcrafted. If you are one of the folks who appreciate the warmth and beauty of being surrounded by finely crafted wood this event is your opportunity to make the leap from just dreaming to creating the home you have always wanted.
Attending a show will save you time and trouble by allowing you to contact a variety of suppliers all at once under one roof. Whether you are considering building or buying a new home, or want to add distinctive touches to an existing one, you will be able to get decorating and design ideas from some of the industry’s leading companies and craftsmen. All three days will include free seminars on various aspects of log and timber frame construction, plus exhibits of handcrafted furniture, alternative energy, maintenance and restoration products, financing, building products, outdoor furniture and much more.
