The Southern Thunder Monster Truck Shootout is scheduled for February 22nd and 23rd
2008. There will be three big shows, Friday at 8:00 pm, a Saturday matinee at 1:30 pm
and Saturday evening at 8:00 pm. The event is held at the Western North Carolina
Agricultural Center Main Arena, an indoor, heated facility located at 1301 Fanning Bridge Road
in Fletcher, N.C. The Center is located directly across from the Asheville Airport off Exit # 40 of
Interstate 26.

Some of the hottest Monster Trucks from around the nation will be going head to head in
side by side racing over cars as well as freestyle competition.

Monster Trucks currently scheduled to appear are:

IRON MAN, SAMPSON, HOLMAN'S BEAST, VIRGINIA GIANT, and LIL' MISS DANGEROUS.

Special added attractions include MEGASAURUS, the giant 35 foot tall, fire breathing, transformer dinosaur.
See him pick up a car in his huge claws and destroy it with his flaming razor sharp jaws.
Also featured will be the exciting Off Road Super Truck Races; specially equipped race trucks
with alter egos including GENERAL LEE and tow truck MATER and others. They will compete
in a series of heats and a feature race. In addition, there will be a Best (show) Truck contest and
Ugly Truck contest and more. Monster Truck Rides will be available before each show, during intermission
and after each show.

As always, the 2008 show will be non stop action and fun for the whole family.
